HAVEN'T ZINE US AROUND LATELY?

A lot has been going on in the hivemind over here at Sloth Records recently.  Yes, we've somewhat neglected the cyber end of activities, but gee whiz have we been gluing and cutting and folding and singing and playing and thinking about shit over here in ye olde real world!

FILTHY FIRST EP - get on it people!!

So looks like we've finally got our a's into g's around here and are very proud to announce the birth of the FILTHY FIRST self-titled EP!!

This luxurious ep has 4, yes that's right FOUR songs spanning such diverse themes as annoying co-workers, feminism, the human body, and hating John Key!! In my head this sentence is in the voice of that guy who presented lives of the rich and famous.

FILTHY FIRST is a band across time and space.  Meeting in Dunedin 2008 during a cold-long winter, the three brains of Baby Flem, GG, and Kiki Van Newtown met and melded in a psychedelic post-apocolyptic grunge haze of noise.  Finding each other again years later in the gritty streets of Newtown, FILTHY FIRST really took shape, banging out a bunch of shows (2), and recording this audio masterpiece in a big shed.  Jump forward two more years to the present, and you'll find Baby Flem once more joining the Van Newtowns to write this blurb, and make a bandcamp site.  Yes that's right folks, after so many years of putting the 'no' in tech'no'logy, we're finally saying yes to our new god, the internet.
